About Me
Thank you for visiting my page! My name is Sarah and it is my intention that our time together will be impactful, and create meaningful change for you. Whether you know exactly what you want to shift, or maybe you experience something you can’t pinpoint, or maybe you just feel you could be happier; therapy can help. I believe strongly in the wisdom in each of us and our powerful ability to change. I am interested in getting to know you and understanding how I can be of service, so that you can experience your own healing and growth.
While I treat a variety of symptoms, my specialty is trauma. I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT). I also integrate other modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused Therapy. These modalities are tailored to you, and aim to eliminate re-traumatization and allow for deep, lasting change. While I specialize in trauma, I have experience with a variety of diagnoses and areas, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, ADHD, LGBTQIA+ (and ally) issues, relationship difficulties, and grief. I also have experience and training in working with the LGBTQIA+ community, including assisting in accessing gender-affirming care, and running family and LBTQ-specific trauma support groups.
The idea of therapy, and changes – even positive changes – can feel intimidating or overwhelming. I’d like to collaborate with you to make this process as comfortable for you as possible; finding a balance between safety and growth. As a person and professional, I deeply believe in the power and importance of feeling seen and heard, without judgement, by another person. I prioritize focusing on your goals, and using evidence-based treatment to help you meet those goals at a pace that feels right for you. This is your journey. I actively work to embody these values in my practice. I offer free 15-minute phone consultations, so we can see if we might be a good fit. I would love to get to know you and perhaps join you on your journey!
A bit about me personally: I love experiencing new cultures, cooking, humor, yoga, exploring and (trying) to garden and rollerblade. I was born in New England and most recently was a 12-year resident of Miami, FL. Now, I’m a digital nomad; traveling as I work and challenging myself to expand my comfort zone in fun ways!
